Recipes for the internet of things

Welcome to the IoT-maker site. A new site dedicated to bringing you recipes that describe in detail how you can build internet enabled devices yourself.

The internet of things phenomenon has been in the media for many years now. Yet nobody has announced that “The Internet of Things is here!”. This is because the internet of things connects every¬†device via the internet. No one controls ALL devices and therefore no-one is able to guide device design towards universal interoperability.

In my mind, the only way to create the internet of things is from the “bottom” up. The bottom being users who create their own devices and integrate them into the internet and their daily lives. This describes basically the maker scene, popularized by Make magazine¬†¬†

As a maker I am frustrated by the lack of a concise collection of all write-ups of projects where people connect stuff to the internet. This website is an attempt to fill this gap.

This maker/Internet of Things combination is also exciting because new devices are continually created and new applications are continually invented. It is an ongoing stream of inspiration for new bussiness ideas. This site will also collect Internet of Things use-cases and write about them.

Speaking for all the contributors to this website, we hope you enjoy what you find here. If you have questions you can leave comments, open a topic on the forum or mail us.

Hi there terrific website! Does running a blog like this take a great deal of work?
I have very little expertise in coding but I had been hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyway, if
you have any ideas or techniques for new blog owners please share.
I understand this is off subject however I simply had to
    ask. Appreciate it!
